Financial Failure Forecast with Altman Model: An Application in Companies Operating In BIST Wood, Paper and Printing Index

The aim of thisstudy is to apply the Altman Z Score Model developed by Edward I. and used predict financial failures businesses, on companies operating in Borsa IstanbulWood, Paper Printing Index. In order make application, necessary ratios for model application were calculated using balancesheets income statements included index, which subject research, between 2016-2020. By multiplying with coefficients applied model, Scores each company research years determined failure was predicted. As a result study, it estimated that 7 out 15 index had high risk bankruptcy.
